Create Users

Go
to the Admin area and click on 
to Admin and click Users & Roles.
Click on 
Click Invite New User.
Enter the Email address, First Name, and Last Name.

Marketo tip

An expiration date is great for short-term external stakeholders or consultants , who need Marketo access only for a brief time.

Marketo note

When the expiration date arrives, the new user receives an expiration notification , and the their account is locked (not deleted). The admin can unlock the account if necessary.

Select the Role of your choice and click Next.

Make edits to the invitation message if necessary. Click Send.

The Emailemail/Login login needs to be unique, ; if you have 've already used it already in a sandbox instance, you will need to use a different one in production and vice versa.

The new user is now listed in the Users tab and will receive an email with instructions on how to activate their account.

Invitations expire three days after a new user is added.

Delete Users

Go
to the Admin section and click on 
to Admin and click Users & Roles.
Select the user you want to remove and click Delete User.
Confirm by
clicking on 
clicking OK.

Reset User Passwords

Go
to the Admin area and click on 
to Admin and click Users & Roles.
Select a user and click
on 
Reset Password.
Click Close to dismiss the prompt.

The user will receive an email with password reset instructions.

Marketo tip

If the user complains about not having received doesn't see the email in their inbox, ask them to check their junk/spam folder in case it landed there.

Change Permissions and Edit User Information

Go
to the Admin area and click on 
to Admin and click Users & Roles.
Select a user and
click on 
click Edit User.
You can edit user information
,
and change the associated
Role and click 
role. Click Save.

Marketo caution

If you are the only Admin in Marketo, be sure not to remove your Admin own admin rights.

Marketo note

If a new user is invited as an Admin, or if an Admin is deleted, all current Admins will receive an email notification.
